We Are Outraged!
Join in an angry, noisy protest rally
At Congressman Jeffries’ office
Wednesday July 29, 3-4 PM
Bring a noise maker, a pot to bang on, a drum, a whistle, etc.
Meet up at 2PM at Fowler Square in Fort Greene, Lafayette Ave. & South Elliot St.
From there we will walk two blocks to Jeffries' office
Sponsored by NY8 Neighbors for a Gaza Ceasefire with Brooklyn For Peace and others.
There is now a measure buried in the proposed 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) titled the “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative” or Proposal 224. It would structurally bind the United States military to the Israeli military, permanently fuse the American and Israeli defense industries, and make future aid harder to monitor or condition.
Read more about Proposal 224.
This all comes at a time when the Israeli military has repeatedly used U.S. weapons in strikes that have violated international humanitarian laws in Gaza, as well as attacks on Lebanon, Syria and Iran.
We are asking constituents of Congressman Jeffries call him today to tell him "vote no on Proposal 224!
It’s quick and easy. Please call Congressman Jeffries’ office today at (718) 373-0033 and leave the following simple message:
“My name is [NAME]. I live in [YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD]. As a constituent, I am calling to urge you to vote against Section 224 of the NDAA.”
We are hoping to have 100 of his constituents make the call.
After you have made the call, please click here to let us know so that we can tally how many calls were made.

We walked the 2 blocks from Fowler Square to Jeffries’ office.
Lucy Koteen and Whitney Leigh spoke for NY8 Neighbors as we gathered outside Jeffries’ office building.
We continued to collect letters even as the protest continued. Currently nearly 600 letters delivered.
Sign the letter to push Congressperson Hakeem Jeffries to call for a permanent ceasefire of Israel’s war on Gaza and an end to US military aid for that war and allowing the free flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
And please share this with your neighbors who live in congressman Jeffries' district.
